"Milk: What have you made of me?"

AHA! Tumblr trolling can in fact be useful. I found this beautiful, inspiring piece of work by Alexa Meade and Sheila Vand on Siya Blog-a Go to their site to view the complete work.

Rimmel London: Red Hot

Union Jack Lips

Overly affectionate with a piece of paper (/_\)

My current shade of red lipstick. Any of the pics you've spotted me in wearing a rouge hue, this is the shade: Rimmel London's Red Hot. Got mine from Clicks. It's a bit of a mojo enhancer :))

Alexander Wang

Lectors!

So admittedly only after hearing the name in a Jay Z verse my curiosity led me on a small goose chase to find who Alexander Wang is. Is he Vera Wang's estranged yet brilliant fashion designer son? (I already saw the plot of an amazing television series here.) Or was he just coincidentally another fashion design apt Wang? The goose chase was just a matter of hitting the Google button and boom, there it was. Well, of course the latter is true (BOO!) but I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting women's wear he creates. Androgynous yet somehow quite flattering. I love a good fashion find - Thanks HOV. lol Pics from his site below.

Black Opal Make Up Event

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of joining my girl Nwabisa, for the girliest evening in town! Black Opal hosted an evening of make-up ed and make-overs at the Intsant Grass headquarters in Braam. Lipsticks and laughter filled the night with a cheerful banter but of course the complimentary champers didn't hurt either. **,

The cosmetics line is the skin care answer to the many qualms of our beautiful, unique  ebony skin. Designed specifically for the african complexions, it addresses many of the issues we as black women have. Myself and the ladies learnt a lot about what considerations one needs to make when looking for a good foundation for example. (For me, a person who thought foundation to be the anti-christ because so many people get the shade wrong, this was a break through.) The range boasts a number of innovative shades that fit perfectly with any african complexion - About time! I'm definitely heading straight to Clicks to hook myself up with an item or two for my beauty box.

Thanks B.O! - We love customer-centric innovation!

Classics

One simply cannot beat the classics. What makes any creation timeless? This has been the subject of my ponderings for a while now. What is it that allows certain peaces of design to remain acceptable as beautiful to eye, while others offend the eye even months from inception? It could be a matter of symmetry or balance. Either way every lady needs a classic peace in her wardrobe. It's a statement of class and style over fashion and trend. Just saying, maybe this is a good reason for me to blow a month's salary on a peace from Chanel (^^,)

#ThreeThings

1. Bright Pink Lips 2. Big fros 3. Vintage Earrings

This is my very own fashion feature, #ThreeThings. It comes from my tumblr blog and I had left it there to veg - all is not lost, I am officially reviving it on this platform. Hopefully weekly/biweekly I will grace this here page with a selection of my hearts occupants at the time. Here's the first pick.

Happy Monday!
